In 2005, JFC established a new marine focus with the development of a range of mussel float that now delivers mussel farmers the world over many advantages. From experience and product knowledge gained in serving the Aquaculture market we expanded our marine focus to provide a portfolio of Marine Aids to Navigation product solutions.
We now offer a complete range of polyethylene navigation buoys / lanterns, monitoring and control systems to suit all marine applications.
These products are successfully being used to mark out shipping channels, port entrances, hazardous waters, wind farms, aquaculture sites and a variety of other marine installations. Our extensive portfolio includes Navigation Buoys, Navigation Solar Lanterns (Beacons), Marker Posts and topmarks.
An industrial member of IALA (Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities), JFC buoys and lanterns are manufactured in accordance with IALA guidelines. In addition we also supply a range of remote monitoring & control (GSM, AIS) and alarm systems used by mariners including coast guards and major port authorities worldwide.
JFC Marine is delighted to introduce our latest additions G1500, G1800 & G2200 Navigation Buoys to our range of marine aids to navigation solutions.
These buoys are rotationally moulded polyethylene buoys designed for use in moderate seas. The daymark design has a large visual impact tower vailable in both can or cone shapes with a high focal height* for increased buoy visibility. Available in all the IALA recommended colours and configurations.
The modular design has a unique central core steel arrangement from lifting eye to mooring eyes for superior strength and durability. The central core design includes two mooring eyes fitted with a unique replaceable bushing system, extending the operational life of the buoy. The use of a twin bridle mooring provides greater stability and mooring flexibility when used in locations with fast water currents. In addition it is fitted with two lifting eyes for ease of manoeuvrability during installation or servicing purposes.
The design also allows for the modular float sections and daymark to be easily replaced on station if necessary during service life.
JFC offer a portfolio of Marine Aids to Navigation product solutions. We offer an extensive range of Navigation Buoys, Solar Marine Lanterns/Beacons, Monitoring and Control Systems, Navigation Marker Posts & Top Marks and Moorings & Installations to suit all marine applications. These products are being successfully used to mark out shipping channels, hazardous waters, aquaculture sites and a variety of other marine installations.
These high quality aids to navigation (AtoN) devices are extremely durable and cost effective enabling watercraft operators determine position, course, warn of a danger and/or obstructions and indicate the location of safe or preferred channel routes
JFC are delighted to introduce our range of Seagull Navigation Buoys. Designed for use both inshore and offshore applications these modular designed buoys aim to set a new standard in floating AtoN’s Aids to Navigation. JFC Marine have considered all aspects of the buoys life at sea which are designed and manufactured for the most demanding conditions using superior quality materials and considering ease of assembly both onshore or on deck of support vessels.
Designed with an emphasis on durability, flexibility, and economy throughout, Seagull buoys feature a unique hull, central core and ballast arrangement, with a modular adaptable day mark. They also boast excellent stability characteristics, power system versatility, and environmental credentials. By addressing key design criteria, Seagull buoys can reduce costs and maximise servicing intervals. Safe access for maintenance personnel and ease of operation has been prioritised as have all mooring and retrieval requirements.
The Seagull buoy range is manufactured in accordance with the IALA (International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities) high visibility colours and shapes to suit a range of installation requirements.
JFC Marine offer a complete range of Data or Met Acquisition Buoys floating structure solutions.
The buoy day mark is custom designed to customer specifications to host the necessary instrumentation required such as:
• Weather Stations
• Water Sensors
• Measuring Instruments
• Wind or Solar Generators
• Data Transmission
• Technical Compartments etc
JFC Marine Data Buoys are rotationally moulded using marine grade (UV stabilised) polyethylene and are designed for use in moderate seas. The modular design has a unique central core steel arrangement for superior strength and durability.
The data buoy range are designed with an emphasis on maximising the optimal area for data monitoring instrumentation application. Each data buoy is custom designed to satisfy individual customer specifications offering greater flexibility to the customer.
JFC Marine provide a full range of rope line mussel floats for both (single and double) long line systems. Our floats are designed and manufactured for the most demanding conditions. We have a complete range from 40 Litres to 400 Litres to suit all applications.
Proven Results:
JFC mussel floats have shown proven results carried out by independent trials. Internationally renowned mussel production expert Dr John Bonardelli (a world leading independent shellfish production specialist) LINK Case study
Increased Yields & Probability
JFC mussel floats have the potential to substantially boost the profitability of the rope mussel’s industry whilst simultaneously reducing the number of mussel floats required per site.
Patented Stability Fin
The JFC float has been specifically designed so that they can withstand the pressures of high waves. The design ensures that JFC Marine floats have a low profile in the water, causing limited vertical motion and consequently reduces stress on the mussels.
